FAQ

  • What age groups do we accept?
We accept children ranging from 6 weeks to 4 years old.
  • What are our days and hours of operation?
True Lite Learning Center is open Monday through Friday, our hours are from 7:00AM - 5:30PM, and we have a cutoff time for dropping off all children at 9AM. All must be in the building and signed in by their parent before this time, or we may deny you and your child entry once the 9AM mark hits. After the specified time, we do not except any more children due to our kitchen area retrieving numbers for meals so that an adequate amount of food is prepared and in order for us to manage and document ratios in all classrooms.
  • Do we follow the MISD holiday schedule?
For the most part, we do not follow the MISD schedule. Some days that we are off may fall on the same day as MISD, but we have our own schedule when early releases and closures will take place. Our yearly holiday schedule can be seen in the form of a link on our contact page of the website, and there are always available copies at the front desk as well as being in our enrollment packet for you to keep.
  • What meals do we provide?
We provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Through a system we use called Procare, you may view our weekly menu as well as obtain one from the front desk. If you see that there is something on the menu you wish not for your child to have, parents have the option to bring in an alternative meal for their little one. We ask that the meal not contain any peanut butter or nuts of any kind (we are nut-free facility) and we suggest that the meal(s) you bring are nutritional.
  • How does the enrollment process work?
If a spot is available, we inform our potential parent of all items needed before they are able to obtain an enrollment packet for their child, which includes: - the driver's licenses and social security cards of both parents (copy) - the child's birth certificate (copy) - the child's most recent immunization form (this must be up to date) - a signed health statement from your child's physician we provide you with or through a written statement from the doctor verifying the child is well and able to participate in our program (they especially cannot start attending our learning center without this form). *Keep in mind that we DO NOT hold spots. If you plan on keeping a spot for your child whether they start attending right away or weeks or months from when you enroll them, your account will still be drafted $50 instead of our normal weekly tuition of $225 in order to ensure your spot at our learning center as we understand the burden this may place on your family. The week that your child begins attending our facility is considered their official first week. You will not be charged said week as their first week of tuition was included in the enrollment payment you made when you completed paperwork. After this first week of attendance, the normal tuition rate of $225 will be charged from the account we have on file for you from that following week onward. You will complete an Enrollment and Payment Understanding Form upon enrollment of your child.
  • What is the initial deposit composed of?
The initial deposit stands for the first week that your child is enrolled in our childcare program and the last week of them participating in our childcare program. After the initial deposit is made, our system will change the weekly cost of $225. If your child ages out of the learning center or you unenroll them for any reason, we ask for a 2-week notice, whether it be handwritten or through email. Instead of paying for the full two weeks, you will only be responsible for one week of the notice since you already paid for your child's last week with us in the initial fee. The initial deposit also includes a yearly supply fee of $150, a one-time enrollment fee of $150 and we have included the cost of inch labels and water bottles that all children must purchase so their child will have those to label their nursery bottles and water cups accordingly. The supply fee is debited from your account in the first week of each year that you are enrolled with us.
  • Are there any discounts or promotions available at our center?
Vacation Weeks: In order to qualify for a week's vacation (a free week with no charge), your child must attend our center for a full year. Once you are eligible for a vacation week, the process consists of simply writing a brief email to the center letting us know of the week you plan to use. We do not apply the vacation to specific days; you must notify us with the week you wish to use. Once your child's one year anniversary with us comes into effect, your vacation renews itself every year that you are with us. Your child may attend the center during the week you wish to count as their vacation.
  • Do we assist with potty training? Is there additional pricing if your child is not potty-trained?
True Lite Learning Center does help your child start potty training while in our care. The teacher and parent work together in order to find a solution suited for that child's needs in regard to potty training. If a child starts at our facility and they are not potty trained, you will be charged the weekly set fee of $225.00 regardless of if they are potty trained or not. If a child is not potty trained by the time they are 3 years of age, a grace period of 2 weeks to a month will be extended towards the child. If your child is not trained for the restroom fully after this period (meaning the child has a minimum of 1 accident per week during this span of time), an additional $50 will be added to your child's weekly charge along with their weekly tuition until they have reached the goal of no accidents.
  • Once your child is enrolled, what items will they need to bring on their first day of attendance?
At the end of your enrollment packet, there is a list of things to bring for your child once they begin at our center. This list includes the following: Nursery (0 - 12-month-olds): - 2 boxes or packages of diapers - 4 packages of wipes - 2 boxes of Kleenex - 4 changes of clothes with your child's name on the tag (4 tops and 4 bottoms or 4 onesies) - the number of bottles and milk your child needs for the day (you will bring these each day) Toddlers (1 and 2-year-olds): - 2 boxes of Kleenex - 4 packages of wipes - 1 box or package of diapers / pullups - 4 changes of clothes (4 tops and 4 bottoms) - 1 nap mat for resting time (you can find these at Walmart, Amazon, Target, Mardel's, etc.) (NO sleeping bags please) - 1 Giant-sized Ziplock bag for your child's storage of their nap mat Pre-Schoolers (3 and 4-year-olds): - 4 packages of wipes - 2 boxes of Kleenex - 4 changes of clothes (4 tops and 4 bottoms) - 1 nap mat for resting time (you can find these at Walmart, Amazon, Target, Mardel's, etc.) (NO sleeping bags please) - 1 Giant-sized Ziplock bag for your child's storage of their nap mat *Your child's nap mat will be sent home every Friday for washing and must be brought back on Monday or the next time your child returns to the center This list is provided in the enrollment packet for you to keep as well as on the "Pricing and Admissions" tab of the website under the title, "Center Forms".
  • What is the teacher to child ratio for each classroom?
You can view this information on the "Classrooms" tab of the website!
  • What are the age groups for our nursery classrooms?
Our nursery 1, nursery 2, and nursery 4 classrooms are dedicated to babies ages 0 months to 9 months. Our nursery 3 classroom is for 9 months to 12 months. Your child will be placed in the according classroom based on your child's developmental growth. Though they are categorized this way, all children enrolled in these classrooms are still considered infants according to state regulations, even if your child is between 12 months to 17 months.
  • How do feeding schedules in our infant classrooms work?
In our enrollment packet comes an "Infant Preference Sheet" that the parent will fill out. This form will ask for breast milk and/or formula preferences along with infant cereal and other food preferences that coincide with your child's feeding needs. Our nursery teachers follow the schedule you provide through filling out this form. If any changes are ever needing to be made, you must fill out another sheet indicating those changes each and every time. Preference sheets are updated monthly, so you will receive one at the beginning of each month to record your child's feeding schedule whether any adjustments have been made or not. In our nursery setting, we do not wash or disassemble bottles for any reason due to not wanting any part of a bottle to be misplaced or switched with someone else's belongings. To combat this, we ask parents to bring the number of bottles that your child will need for each day in our care. You will need to have these bottles pre-filled with water based on the number of ounces your child drinks. We will then curate the bottle here with the formula you provide us and begin the process of feeding your child. From the start of your child's feeding, they have an hour to finish the bottle; when it is completed or your child does not drink all of their milk, it will simply be placed back in your child's diaper bag to be taken home at the end of the day. *Ex: if your child's schedule is having 6oz every 3 hours and their last bottle before signing into the center was at 8AM, feeding times for your child will be at 11AM, 2PM and 5PM. Therefore, you will need to provide 3 bottles for your child that day. A child's feeding schedule in our nursery classroom is solely based on the parent's standards. As far as a nap schedule, we have a generalized schedule posted on the outside of every classroom so you have an idea of what your little one is doing every day. On this schedule, there is a "nap time" listed; this is a point during the day when the lights are dimmed, and all of our babies begin to wind down. With this being stated, your child is always able to fall asleep at any point during the day.
  • Do we have a curriculum in place for the children in our care?
All of our classrooms follow a Christian-led curriculum. It implements Bible stories, its teachings, and equivalent activities from the lesson, as well as the fundamentals of what your child will need in preparation for public school. Subjects include beginning the basis of language development and social skills, learning the alphabet, numbers, colors, and shapes, as well as how to cut, follow dotted lines, and how to write their names on broken lines and eventually writing letters and words freehandedly. We are dedicated to ensuring every age group is exposed to God's Word and ultimately gearing them for life outside of this center on a spiritual and educational level.
  • How will your child move to the next classroom?
Once your child is developmentally ready to proceed to the next age-appropriate classroom, you will receive a "Moving Up" letter from us informing you of which classroom your child will be in, who your child's new teachers will be and when your child will transition to the next classroom.
